2012 FCATs and EOCs by Format
This chart lists the specific formats available to students with visual impairments for the 2012 Spring FCATs and 2012 End-of-Course Exams (EOCs). Test formats include hard copy braille, hard copy large print, and computer-based. Computer-based FCAT and EOC Sample Tests are known as the ePats. Note that hard copy large print is no longer available for the EOCs and certain grade levels of the FCAT. Hard copy braille is available at all grade levels.

FCAT WWE Dec 2011 (PowerPoint)
This power point was presented during Working with Experts/Visually Impaired in Daytona Beach on December 1 and 2, 2011. The power point addressed district/school assessment training; test administration manual; and specific changes to the 2012 statewide assessments (all grades/subjects in two braille volumes, new transcription procedures for large print, scientific calculators, manipulatives, math reference sheets, Periodic Table of Elements, braille rulers, and the Student Pledge Sheet). 2012 FCAT and You the TVI! (PowerPoint)
This power point presentation was reviewed during the webinar series titled “Introduction to FIMC-VI for New Teachers and Program Supervisors” on January 30, 2012. The presentation highlights the FCAT administration schedule, the importance of teachers of the visually impaired (TVIs) participating in FCAT training at the school level and reviewing the 2012 Statewide Assessment Test Administration Manual, what’s new in 2012 assessment, use of rulers/calculators, using ePATs/TestHear, and other information important to TVIs.
