Florida Braille Challenge

Braille Institute announces that the 2020 Braille Challenge Finals will be held remotely this year

To kick off this one-of-a-kind celebration of braille readers, Finalists will be announced live on Facebook by Braille Institute once all contests have been scored and reviewed.  Due to prolonged closure, Braille Institute will be delayed in releasing the Finalists’ names, but they will post ahead of time the date of the live Finalists reveal!

Braille Institute provided an overview of the first ever Remote 2020 Braille Challenge Finals and Frequently Asked QuestionsShare this information with your students (and their families) who took a contest on grade level during the 2020 Florida Braille Challenge season.
Most importantly, Keep Calm and Braille On!
The BRAILLE CHALLENGE is a national program of the Braille Institute® hosted by regional schools and agencies that serve blind and visually impaired children. It is the only national braille literacy competition of its kind in the country, and is specifically designed to challenge and reward blind students for their study of braille, which is essential to their future academic and employment success.  Regional students who score among the top 50 nationally are invited to Braille Institute in Los Angeles for a final competition!
