In this session, Kim Roberts and Tanoi Quraishi of the Florida Low Vision Initiative (FLVI) will unveil their new LiveBinders platform. They will also discuss what services from FLVI might entail during Fall 2020 as well as how the referral process works. The FLVI is a FDOE Discretionary Project with Florida State University that provides free low vision exams and prescribed optical aids for qualifying students, as well as training support for TVIs, students, and families.

The Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS), will host a virtual meeting specifically for district contacts responsible for the programs for students with visual impairments. It is recommended that the district contact person for the vision program attend this meeting to discuss emerging issues, review district data, and participate in discussions on relevant topics.
