Finding Wheels with Dr. Penny Rosenblum

Join us for a one-day workshop addressing this updated and revised orientation and mobility curriculum.  Dr. Rosenblum will focus on the wide array of skills needed for O&M, such as using technology during travel, bicycling with low vision, safety during travel, and using rideshare services.  Throughout this session she will share scenarios of travelers, content, activities, and vignettes. Videos, discussion, and small group activities will be used to increase participation and understanding of the material.

2019-2020 Florida Vision and Deaf/Hard of Hearing Joint District Contacts Meeting

The Florida Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS) will host a meeting specifically for district contacts responsible for the programs for students who are deaf/hard of hearing and programs for students who are visually impaired. It is recommended that the district contact person for the deaf/hard of hearing program AND the person responsible for the vision program attend this meeting to network and discuss initiatives specific to your district’s students who are deaf/hard of hearing or visually impaired.

Working with the Experts: Braille for Math and Science
